Essen Production is the only company from Tatarstan to have won the “Product of the Year” award.

On November 20, Essen Production AG JSC ranked first in two categories of the “Product of the Year” national award simultaneously.

The “Product of the Year” prize has been awarded annually for more than 10 years by the National Trade Association, with thousands of Russian manufacturers from different industries, including the food and the drug sectors being nominated. One or several products manufactured by companies can be awarded the coveted “Product of the Year” accolade. According to the award’s terms, the famous logo, in the form of a gold star, may then be shown on the product packaging for a year. This can provide prize-winning companies with additional competitive advantages when consumers are choosing between the goods on supermarket shelves.

In 2019, Essen Production AG JSC won two “Product of the Year” awards. The first one was granted to the “Maheev” trade mark in the “Jam” category, while the other was for its “35” candy brand, which the company has been producing for nearly 5 years.

In addition to placement of the “Product of the Year” mark on its product packages, the company may use the coveted logo at its own promotional events, and when designing promotional materials or TV, radio or printed media advertising.

Leonid Baryshev, the General Director of Essen Production AG JSC, said:

“We very much respect the “Product of the Year” award, that’s why we took part in the ceremony for the third consecutive year. Winning in two categories is to the credit of all our production sites. We will work on further improvements in our product quality, and next time we will present our newest confectionery products that we started manufacturing this summer, having launched a new production line. We have huge plans ahead of us to expand our production, and I’m sure that our new ranges will also win the “Product of the Year” honorary award.”
