The confectionery plant in Naberezhnyye Chechnya has become Essen Production AG’s largest investment project. The company has invested more than 5 billion rubles in production. Leonid Baryshnikov, the holding’s co-owner, announced today that, in 2017-2018, alone, investments there amounted to 800 million rubles.

The project has been implemented without any government support, using the company’s own and borrowed funds. In the next three years, the company plans to double its confectionary production volume. Leonid Baryshev said that, recently, a new candy production line had been put into operation at the plant in test mode, and that by the end of the year another four lines are to be launched.

It is useful to remember that the first production facility at the Chelny plant was opened in 2011, and the second one — in June 2017.
